Tributes Ltd Chairman, Richard Bush, and his wife Ness, recently attended the official opening of the new premises of The Mary How Trust in Pulborough. The organisation offers a full health screening service, which can detect early signs of cancer – including bowel, prostate and kidney cancer – as well as heart disease, diabetes or other health issues.
In Richard’s case The Mary How Trust detected symptoms of early stage prostate cancer, from which he has now successfully recovered. Following his diagnosis Richard was keen to ensure that all Tributes team members had access to health checks so, in conjunction with The Mary How Trust, voluntarily established a staff screening programme. Each member of the Tributes team has been offered a fully-funded opportunity to attend the clinic for an individual appointment during working hours.
The Mary How Trust is a charity, exempt from NHS funding. Instead of charging a fixed fee for a medical check-up, the organization requests a donation based upon an individual’s ability to pay, with the aim of enabling full health checks and healthy living advice accessible to all. The aspiration is to help people stay well through prevention and early detection of serious illness.
